Today I managed to get a copy of 'The Making of 300', an hour-long documentary abouthow the film '300' was designed, created and filmed. This is going to be the main basis behind my essay. The documentary has very long and detailed interviews with the Director, Zack Snyder as well as Frank Miller (The creator of the original comic book that the film was adapted from). More importantly, the documentary features a long interview with Jim Bissell, who was the production designer. He talks through all the reasoning around the design and art of the film. There are a lot of useful quotes, imaging and information in this documentary which I think will really put some substance in my essay.
