My object for my final drawn animation is a chair, so I've been having a think about my options and which ones are best to portray the personality that I was given - 'Furtive' (Sneaky and Stealthy) Below are a few different catergories of chairs that I am comparing. I want to have a good think about my story, create some storyboards around one of these specific chairs, to give it a bit of character. Hopefully a good idea will materialise in my head this week!
Basic Wooden Dining Chair
A Rustic Folding Chair
A Modern Office Chair
A Comfortable Armchair
A Plastic Garden Chair
Metal Cafe-Like Chair
Hey Sam, i reckon you should go with a really tall slim chair with long legs and a short seat. Something similar to the first picture. I think having long legs will increase the overall look of being stealthy.
Hi Sam - Mr VC is onto something - check out stick insects for another source of spindly walk-cycles and related furtive behaviour...
also, you should take a look at this for obvious reasons (and it might be an idea to start thinking as musically...)

These all look as if they would move about your house like spiders or Daddy-long-legs... shudder!

From Beauty & the Beast - go to 2mins 8sec when the carriage gets up and scuttles away - notice use of sound...
Great, thanks Phil, I'm going to look into all of these, especially the 'evil' side of things, it will give it much more character. Thankfully, I don't have a spider-phobia so I'll look up some of their movements to see how a chair would do it, similar to that clip from Beauty and the Beast.
I think your right Richard, I do need something quite tall and sleek.
