Here are a couple of early station ideas. I think the building needs an large awning above the doors that extends over the platform, which I will add. These were drawn rough in pencil to get the perspective then painted over in Photoshop all in a single colour, the idea was to try and work out the layout of my environment. I'm hoping they'll be a lot more of these to come before the Concept Art stage.

Hey Sam :-) Really great to see you getting stuck in - and I love the idea of the train and the left luggage - BUT (and perhaps I shouldn't say anything here) the piece of music you have is quintessentially AMERICAN - listen to it again - then check out the theme to television programmes like Bonanza and Westerns - I'm not going to give you the composer and title, but I suggest you move your train station into the frontier lands of the American West and tell your story there; check out Back to the Future 3 for more reference... but listen carefully to your soundscape - it has a definite cultural context - let me know what you think...
Hey Phil,
That was the first thing that came to mind with the music, it reminded me a little of the Magnificent Seven theme, and I think that is where I came up with the train idea. I moved it to British because I thought I knew more about it and references would be easier, but now you say it, it probably does suit America a lot more and this would make more sense.
I'm sure there are enough western around to get some really good ideas for the train stations, I'll look at something like 3:10 to Yuma.
Absolutely!!! Don't fight the music, Sam - if there's an information gap, go fill it! Remember - even in high fantasy - logic and rules are everything; go into the West, my friend... and those big American steam engines are just fabulous!
