Here is my final animation, I'm happy with it and I'll post more after the crit tommorow, but as for tonight, I'm celebrating with a beer or 10 and hope I remember to turn up at the crit tommorow morning!
Right-Click on it and go to 'Watch on Youtube' as my blog cuts the right hand side off.

open up your post editor, go in the html tab and look for the embed link for your video and lower the size on the ratio. that will stop it from being cut off.
This is bloody well awesome sam, very powerful animation.
Sam - don't be narked - BUT - I recommend you lose the 'drawn map' opening - it doesn't 'belong' in the 'high end' world of your animation; it belongs, if you like, to a previous version of your idea - more tongue-in-cheek pastiche of Indiana Jones than true blockbuster - trust me on this - cut from the title sequence straight to cg content - I know you're enjoying that beer now so I hope you get this comment prior to me saying it AFTER your crit tomorrow; the drawn map and Rochester-centric gag no longer feels consistent - and certainly, in terms of quality, it feels like pre-viz... cut it, adjust the music accordingly...
I,d have to agree with Phil, after about 5 secs of animation the map seemed irrelevant, Its an easy change to make assuming you aren't celebrating too much. Great work though looking forward to seeing it on the big screen in the morning.
I've changed the title, there is now no map and it fades straight from the clouds! Last-minute improvement there, but it didn't take long and it does flow better now :)
