Concept Art: Guild Wars 2

Posted by Sam Hayes On Tuesday, August 31, 2010
I don't really play a lot of video games, but I came across the Concept Art pieces for the upcoming NCsoft game Guild Wars 2 today and I was blown away. I played the original years ago, and this looks like a huge step up conceptually and seems to have a much larger scope.

The accuracy from the concepts to the in-game is also really impressive. Here is the translation into 3D from the shot above.

There are more concept pieces on the game's official site, here:

That game looks social life destroying.
I'm going to get it - From what i've seen it will be everything that First one should have been. It looks so good.

It does look incredible, and what you said is exactly why I'll avoid it, I might get sucked in too far, I'll wait until next summer, lol.

The first one was OK, but it was far too enclosed and linear, I felt like one of those mules that people whip up mountain paths. The other half of the game was just dressing your character up, and I would of bought Barbie : Home Studio or something if I wanted to do that.
