Maya Progress

EDIT:
I've added another building in-between the two I already had. It is just asmall Arched entrance. All of these are based off buildings on Regents Street.

The textures still need a bit of work. Especially the upper windows.

I've worked a bit more on the buildings for my Maya scene. Still have a lot to do.

The weakest part at the moment are the textures, I think I can get away with some quite simple textures with the odd bit of dirt as the lighting should help the look of the buildings. I know I'm using the space on the UV maps quite poorly, I should really get in the habit of making use of it, which I'll begin to do.

I've been fiddling with Alpha maps to try and get a good broken glass look. So far, I have this below, but I think it will need some tweaking and experimenting to make it look good.

I quickly did a quick render to see how the texures look, which is below. I think with a bit more detail (Shop signs, pavements, posters etc. It will start to look like a proper scene.

Yeh Baja, I feel the same. Only about 2 weeks to go, time on this project went so fast.

Great work Sam... however i don't think you should condemn the farm scene to the bin totally, sideline it for a while and maybe fresh eyes will enable you to see its merits.... summer project perhaps?

    Cheers guys.

Yeh Simon I should go back and look at the farmhouse, I don't think it was an entirely awful concept, but it didn't seem to have much depth.
